Ekadasi Preparations


1. Ekadasi - Cheese Biscuits
Ingredients 4 cups of Tapioka Flour (Can be obtained from Chinese stores)
1 tablespoon backing soda
1 tablespoon salt
0.75 stick butter
0.5 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar)

Prepation Place the butter stick in a pan and heat it to melt.
Add the tapioka flour and all other ingredients in the pan.
When adding milk, stir the mix so that it comes as a thick paste so that you can make balls.
Make round balls each with 1.5" diameter.
Preheat the oven to 350 deg F.
Keep the bals in an aluminium tray. Each ball should have about 3" distance
Heat them in the oven for about 30 minutes or until it becomes golden color (not brown)

2. Ekadasi - Gauranga Potato
Ingredients 2 sticks of butter
2 medium sized sourcream (Use brands: BreakStone or Daisy)
12 to 15 Medium sized potatoes (not too large ones)

Preparation of Potatos Boil the potatoes in a pot 3/4th filled with water
Do not cook too soft and no need to take out the skin
Drain the water
Cut the potatoes into slices not too thin, not too thick.

Preparation of Sauce In a medium sized pot, melt the butter sticks in a pan
Add 1 teaspoon of Rosemary powder to it (can be purchased at wholefood store)
Add 0.3 tablespoon ekadasi hing
Add 2 teasppons of turmeric powder
Add the sour creams and mix all of them to get the sauce.

Preparation Gauranga Potato In a pan, place the potato slices in one or two layers.
Pour the sauce on the potatoes.
Do not cover the pan.
Cook in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for about 30 to 40 minutes.

3. Ekadasi - Buckwheat Chocolate Muffin
Ingredients 1 Butter stick
Milk - as necessary
0.5 cup Chocolate powder
0.5 cup Brown sugar
2 cups Bugwheat Flour (can be purchased at wholefood store)
1 cup of ground Coconut (or use banana)
1 tablespoon of Baking soda

Preparation Grind the coconut with the brown sugar
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except butter, adding milk so that it becomes a thin paste
On a muffin tray, spread butter at the bottom
On each muffin cup, pour the paste as required (2 or 3 spoons each)
Heat in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 20 to 30 minutes
Note: You can also use colored muffin cups instead of muffin tray.
